Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival at Kolkata (By flight)

: Dakshineswar Temple, Indian Museum, Marble Palace, St. Paul’s Cathedral A Traditional Welcome by our Tour Representative on your arrival at Kolkata Airport followed with a check-in to your pre-reserved Hotel. Kolkata serves as a capital of West Bengal and is the third most populated metropolitan cities of India. Kolkata was the former capital of India during British era. Kolkata has always been famous for its artistic culture, traditions and literacy which has also made it a Cultural Capital of India. After freshen-up proceed for Kolkata sightseeing Tour to see the popular places such as Dakshineswar Temple, Indian Museum, Marble Palace and St. Paul’s Cathedral. At the end of the Tour, return to your Hotel and relax.

Day 2

Kolkata

Victoria Memorial, Belur Math, Dalhousie Square, Vidyasagar Setu, Princep Ghat, Shovabazar Rajbari, Howrah Bridge and Park Street After Breakfast, proceed for Kolkata sightseeing tour to see the other popular places such as Victoria Memorial, Belur Math, Dalhousie Square, Vidyasagar Setu, Princep Ghat, Shovabazar Rajbari, Howrah Bridge and Park Street. Being one of the metropolitan cities of India, you will experience different cultures here but majority of the population is Bengali. The old tall buildings located on Dalhousie Street or the royal architecture such as Victoria Memorial loudly speaks of the rich cultural heritage of the State of West Bengal. At the end of the Tour, return to your Hotel and relax.

Day 3

Kolkata - Shantiniketan (Excursion Tour)

Shantiniketan, Visva Bharti University, Art Gallery and Museum After Breakfast, proceed for an excursion tour to Shantiniketan . Shantiniketan is also called as Abode of Rabindranath Tagore and is a university town in West Bengal. It is famous due to its association with Nobel Laureate Sir Rabindranath Tagore, with his vision; the small city had been converted to University Town. Shantiniketan is not only popular amongst students but the inspirational serenity of the place fascinates many tourists from all over the world. Shantiniketan also offers many other significant cultural and heritage features. On arrival at Shantiniketan visit the popular places such as Shantiniketan, Visva Bharti University, Art Gallery and Museum. Shantiniketan is a perfect destination to spend wonderful holiday in tranquility and to closely see the Indian Culture. In the University campus, there are various sculptures, frescoes paintings and murals of Rabindranath, and others. At the end of the tour, return to your Hotel in Kolkata and relax.

Day 4

Kolkata – Sundarbans (Distance Approx 100 Kms)

Sundarbans Wildlife Check-out from the Hotel after your breakfast and proceed to Sundarbans National Park . Sundarbans is located in West Bengal and shared the international borders with Bangladesh. This beautiful dense forest is recognized as UNESCO World Heritage site and home to large number of Royal Bengal Tigers. Sundarbans is the place where land meets the ocean and is the biggest river basin formed by holy river Ganges, Brahmaputra and Meghna. Sundarbans is amongst the biggest Tiger Reserve and National Park of India and is listed in UNESCO World Heritage Site. After administration formalities you will be transferred by a motor boat to your Hotel at Sundarbans Island while passing through the different rivers. Upon your arrival at your Hotel, check-in and relax. In the evening you will be taken for a motor boat ride to the Sundarbans, during the tour you will visit the Sajnekhali watchtower, Sajnekhali museum and Mangrove Interpretation center. At dusk, return to your hotel and relax.

Day 5

Sundarbans National Park

Sundarbans Safari Tour Early morning proceed for a Safari Tour to Sundarbans. Unlike other forest reserves, the Safari tour at Sundarbans is different as it is done through a river cruise. Proceed to various watchtowers through an exhilarating boat cruise to go inside the dense forest while passing through the criss-cross of various rivers and visit the Dobanki Watchtower that offers a unique way to experience the wildlife through its half kilometer canopy walk along with other watchtowers such as Sudhanyakhali and Netidhopani. Later cruise through Matla which is a Sea Face, this is a point from where you can see Bay of Bengal. Lunch will be served on board. Post lunch visit the villages which are located around Sundarbans to interact with the local inhabitants to witness their lifestyle, culture and traditions. Sundarbans is also called as Amazon of India. At dusk, return to your Hotel and relax.
