About:
Champaner – Pavagadh Archaeological park is one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites situated in the heart of the city of Champaner and amidst the Pavagadh hills and is one the must visit places in Gujarat because of historical as well as mythological importance in itself. It includes a large number of marvellous architectural structures consisting of both Hindu & Islamic styles of design. Another interesting mythology about this place is that the hill of Pavagadh is said to be a part of the Himalayas that was originally carried by Hanuman to Lanka in the Ramayana epic. With such rich history to its name, this makes up for a really intriguing place to visit.
