About:

Chittorgarh Fort is the largest fort of India which is a UNESCO World Heritage site and is spread across an area of 700 acres, located in Chittorgarh town in Rajasthan and consists of many palaces, temples, towers and other structures built by many Rajput rulers which has faced several attacks of the rulers like the kings of Gujarat Sultanate, Delhi Sultanate, and Mughal Dynasty. The Rajputs that ruled Chittorgarh believed in sacrificing their lives rather than surrendering to the enemy. Earlier Chiitorgarh was known as Chitrakut when it was under the Mori dynasty later Bappa Rawal overtook it and founded Mewar. It is also said that Bappa Rawal got this town as a dowry in his marriage from the ruler of Solanki dynasty.
