About:
Kalinjar holds an important place not only in the history of Banda also in the history of India. It has a great military value as well as cultural and religious. It has the famous temple of ageless Neelkantha, the tallest 'Kala Bhairava' image and number of high class sculptures in and around, and artistic designs throughout the length and breadth of the site and ranging from the Gupta period of the time of Chadellas.
