About:
Golconda Fort is one of the most historic and magnificent structures though originally built with mud was later converted to a grand structure with granite and stone walls- 8 mammoth gates, 87 bastions, and a circumference of over 7 km. One can see the beautifully designed palace, mosque, and armory of this fortress as well. One of the most significant and marvelous features of this fortress is the excellent acoustics of the structure of the region and therefore, is a popular tourist attraction located just 11 km from Hyderabad City. The Taramathi Gana and The Premathi Nritya Mandir, which are extended pavilions located just outside the walls of the fort are also popular attractions of the Golconda Fort. The Sound and Light Show at the Golconda Fort is also a major highlight, which brings the legends of the fort to life and is performed in different languages on different days which are a major source to attract visitors.
