About:
Hadimba Devi Temple is situated in the snow covered hills of Manali in Himachal Pradesh, built in 1553 and is dedicated to Hadimba Devi, who was originally a demoness the wife of Bhima, the second Pandava brother and mother of Ghatothkach and the legend of this place dates back to the Hindu epic Mahabharata. The temple consists of four wooden storeys and is built over a huge rock which is worshipped as a symbol of Hidimba. It has a historical as well as monumental importance to Hindu pilgrims as it is a part of the Hindu epic Mahabharata. But even apart from that, the Hadimba temple is no less of a wonder to nature lovers. Being quite a quaint story in itself, the Hadimba temple is slowly but steadily attracting tourists from all over the country to its doors where history and heritage meet natural beauty.
