About:
Khajuraho group of Jain temples are situated around 175kms southeast of Jhansi in Khajuraho. It is one the best UNESCO world heritage site built between 950 – 1050 AD during the Chandela Rajput dynasty. According to the historians there were 85 temples but now only 25 temples survive. These temples are famous for its architectural work and erotic sculptures. The temples are divided into three parts the Eastern Group, the Southern Group and the Western Group. Every year in the month of February the dance festival of Khajuraho is held. A light and sound show is organized every evening in English and Hindi in the temple complex.
