About:
Ramnagar Palace Complex is located on a hilltop at a height of 2,716 feet above ocean level at Udhampur district of Jammu. It was built by Raja Suchet Singh of Jammu who was the ruler from 1822 to 1844. This palace is surrounded by magnificent panoramic view with hilly mountains and vegetation developed along its sides and the Purana Mahal consists of rooms ascending to three stories with high walls and watchtowers at regular interims. Sheesh Mahal, Rang Mahal, and Darbar Hall are on the left side of the entry door. Raja Suchet was also an incredible admirer of art apart from being a good general.
