About:
Vishnudol also known as Jaidol Temple or Kesavanarayan, is situated in Guwahati in Assam in the eastern end of the northern bank of the Joysagar tank and is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. There are two small temples within the main temple known as Surya and Ganesha temple respectively. The height of the temple is 60 feet and diameter is120 feet and the vase-like structure on its top is of gold. One can find Srimanta Sankardeva's sacred 'Namghosha' and other holy books of Vaishnavism inside the temple. The beautiful designs of the temple and marvelous architectural structures are indeed eye-catching and people come from far to appreciate these creations of the Ahom Dynasty.
